Post event comment:

Over 200 cyclists came to Manchester Peace Gardens on Wednesday morning to celebrate Bike to Work day, as part of the National Bike Week 2009 campaign.

A mixture of new and experienced cyclists were able to have their bikes serviced, security marked and even claim a free breakfast from Bowlers cafe or Njoy inside the Town Hall. There was a free goody bag provided by Edinburgh Bicycle Cooperative for the first 100 cyclists, freebies from Panonne LLP, information and advice from Love Your Bike and the Greater Manchester Cycle Campaign, and a display of lowriders and other bikes from Ridelow.

Competition:

Tell us your cycle story or send us a photograph of you and your bike and we'll pick the best ten to win a fantastic goody bag full of cycle accessories and even a limited edition Manchester Bike Week tshirt!
